Since january 2015 ANR is funding a four years project on Chemical Dynamics for Reactivity of Biological Molecules (DYNBIOREACT). This is part of the international program with National Science Fundation (USA). The NSF partner is the group of W.L.Hase at Texas Tech University, Lubbock.
The aim of the project is to understand dynamics of unimolecular and bimolecular reactivity in the gas phase for the fragmentation and synthesis of organic and biological molecules.
Two aspects are at our interest :
1) Reactivity produced in mass spectrometry : in particular of model peptides, carbohydrates and steroides ;
2) Gas phase synthesis of molecules observed in the interstellar medium.
